Hunger and Homelessness Week

Ch-Ch-Check it out! the Campus Kitchen at Wake Forest University is partnering with some great organizations to present Hunger and Homelessness week November 13-19th. We are partnering with Volunteer Service Corps, Student Union, Habitat for Humanity, Amnesty International, Nourish International, and Wake Saturdays to bring a week of thought provoking events and service. See below for a full listing of events.
Volunteer with Campus Kitchen all week as a part of Turkeypalooza (see schedule under volunteer info for more details) or on one of our 5 Produce Rescue shifts.
Also week-long: Donate money to Samaritans Ministries at locations across campus as a part of their yearly Penny Campaign.
Saturday, Nov 13th S.O.S (Service on Saturday) with Wake Saturday (feeding homeless downtown)
Monday, Nov. 15th: Habitat for Humanity (WFU Chapter) Awareness raising: facts posted campus wide about Forsyth County low-income housing/homelessness
Tuesday, Nov 16th: (Evening) Tuesday Trivia at Shorty’s (Hunger and Homlessness themed)
Nourish International “Beat the Blues out of Hunger” in front of the Pit
Wednesday, Nov 17th: “Homelessness is not Faceless” Student art and film installation 3-6 in the Green Room
Thursday, Nov 18th: “Homelessness is not Faceless” Student art and film installation 3-6 in the Green Room
Amnesty International Hunger Banquet in Benson 401D
Friday, Nov 19th: VSC Friday Facts: facts on Hunger and Homelessness posted campus-wide.
