We are excited to welcome 3 summer interns this summer to the CK team! These interns ensure that CK can remain operational over the summer when our volunteer numbers are really low (wink wink: PLEASE volunteer!) This year's interns are Emily Bachman, Anna Donze, and Brad Shugoll. Below, read more about them and you won't be able to resist volunteering with them this summer!
Emily is a rising senior interested in Environmental Studies, Food, and the Environment. Emily has previously worked on food assessment with Aramark on campus and will serve as a SPARC leader in the fall. This summer she will be overseeing our produce redistribution project in collaboration with the Fresh Market. She will also be working on food waste and assessment and developing a more efficient food tracking system.
Anna (who is on the right) is a rising senior and an Anthropology major and Environmental Studies minor. She has previously served as an intern for the Office of Sustainability and Office Manager for Campus Kitchen. She is also the only returning intern having served as the Food Resourcing intern last summer. This summer she will oversee cooking shifts and volunteer coordinating.
Brad is a rising senior and a Biophysics major. Brad will be serving as one of two Student Coordinators for CKWFU for the second year in a row this coming year. He is committed to service across campus and will serve as the TPE for the Service Theme House next year and as a leader for the SPARC program. This summer he will be doing research for the Physics Department while also overseeing all delivery shifts.
